ICAN Press release: February 23, 2023

Dear customers, partners and the general public:

Through this press release, as suppliers of legal, ethical and traceable raw material, we wish to make a public statement about the inappropriate uses that have been made of our raw material and the documentation that guarantees its quality and legality. This behavior is unacceptable and cannot be tolerated under any circumstances, as it violates all of ICAN's ethical and professional principles.

We understand that the obligations in this sector are shared. However, as suppliers we cannot assume responsibility for the inappropriate and potentially illegal use that a third party may make of our raw material and/or its documentation. Our work and scope is limited to providing quality, ethical and traceable raw materials, as well as complying with the applicable rules and regulations in force.

Likewise, we are against the crime of usurpation of a profession in the health area, which is committed when it is practiced without the proper professional license, the use of civil associations for the direct or indirect promotion of unregulated products and the unauthorized use of the name of national and international associations and companies for the unauthorized promotion of such products, as well as those who claim to have accreditations and/or support from these renowned institutions.

Therefore, we emphasize the commitment of all our customers to use our inputs in accordance with the laws and regulations established by the competent Mexican authorities. Accordingly, we will take immediate steps to discontinue our business relationship with the customer in question and collaborate with the relevant authorities to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.

We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in this matter.

Sincerely, ICAN
